Review: Origins Clear Improvement

I’ve always wanted to try out the Origins Clear Improvement mask so when I saw a smaller version in Sephora at the till, I scooped it up and popped it in my basket. I’ve been using it on and off for a month or so now and love it. I’ve seen so many reviews online so I thought that I’d tell you about my own experience using it.

Origins Clear Improvement is a charcoal based mask which helps clear pores and detoxifies the skin from everyday pollution. It also contains White China Clay and Lecithin which helps to get rid of all the toxins that have built up in your skin. I’ve found that it works really well at getting rid of blackheads and helps to clear up any problem areas that I have. I don’t use it that often, just when I feel my skin is starting to break out a little and it needs some help to brighten it.

I sometimes dab it on a spot and leave it on over night as I find this can help reduce the redness. Otherwise I just use it as I would any other face mask and just avoid my eyes, nostrils and mouth (see the beautiful photo above!) I leave it on for around twenty minutes and as you can see, it completely dries and it’s actually quite a challenge to move any part of your face if you’ve layered it on quite thickly! I remove it with some warm water on cotton pads and then put on a light moisturiser. It leaves my skin feeling super soft and clean and clears out any blocked pores really well. I bought the Origins Clear Improvement in a 50ml bottle just to try it out but you can buy a 100ml if you want more.
