Review: Invisibobble

As part of my Christmas present, my cousin, Donna, bought me something called an Invisibobble which I had never heard of before. Since then, I always have one on my wrist and it has become a staple for my hair. If I had seen something like this in a shop, I probably wouldn’t have even considered buying them but I absolutely love it now! It’s probably not what you think it is at first, I thought from the name that it would be a hair bobble that you couldn’t see in your hair. I was a little wrong so thought I’d share with you what it is.

The Invisibobble is basically a coiled, plastic hair tie. It is more gentle on hair so there’s no snags and pulling taking it out of your hair, it can be used with thick or thin hair and it can also be worn as a bracelet, which has also been used as a distraction for me when I play with it! The two things that I love the most about it though is the fact that it doesn’t leave any traces in your hair when you take it out and it doesn’t give me throbbing headaches as bobbles usually do. I’ll often pop my hair up when I’m in a rush but it always frustrates me when I take my hair back down and have a big kink from one side of my head to the other. That is where the name has come from I’m guessing, as you can’t see that you’ve had your hair up when taking it down.

For something that I wouldn’t naturally be drawn to, I’ve been really impressed. Definitely not something I would pick up when out and about but I’m never without one on my wrist and a pack of three retails at about £4. I think I might buy a set of the clear ones too. Have you ever used something similar or ever heard of these?
