I always love trying John Frieda products, they have been a brand that I’ve know about for as long as I can remember as I always used the Frizz Ease when I was younger. I was given the opportunity to try out the Fine to Full Blow Out Spray, Volume Refresh Dry Shampoo and the Volume Building Mousse, which was amazing timing as I bought some blow dry brushed from Sleep In Rollers and Pro Beauty. I have been fairly impressed by the John Frieda Luxurious Volume Collection as it has helped my flat hair a fair bit with minimal effort when teamed with the brushes.
Volume Building Mousse
I’ve never really got on with mousse very well as I always end up using too much. The first time it felt fairly heavy on my hair and didn’t have too much of an effect. However, when using it the second time, I used a lot less and couldn’t feel it on my hair and it really helped at lifting my roots when I blow dried it. A good product and nothing that breaks the bank.
Fine-to-Full Blow Out Spray
I’ve used a similar product to this but I can’t remember the brand and wasn’t very impressed by it. The spray comes in an aqua coloured plastic bottle like the rest of the range and is said to ‘create a natural fullness for the look and feel of more hair’. The directions are to spray on to towel dried hair and then style as usual. It does give a much fuller affect and it doesn’t leave any residue.
Volume Refresh Dry Shampoo
I love using this! The dry shampoo is in a aerosol container and is to ‘revive volumised style between shampoos’. I’ve been using it during the day too just to give my hair a bit of a boost as my hair does have a tendency to go a bit limp if I’ve been running round like a lunatic all day. I don’t think it’s as good as other dry shampoos that I’ve used to get rid of that almost greasy look but it’s good at creating a nice bit of volume through out the day
Overall, I’m pretty impressed by these when using them all together. My hair is pretty flat and the Luxurious Volume range helps give it that extra oomph. I’ve filmed a video styling my hair properly and I’m also using these products in that. It should be going live on Saturday so if you’re interested in watching it subscribe to my YouTube channel. Have any of you used any products from the newly designed John Frieda ranges?
