So I am back from Florida after 15 months, unemployed and feel like I’m ready to start blogging again. I will be posting a life update but I just need to get dug back into blogging so here I am giving you a review of MAC Matte Lipstick in Whirl. With America being so much cheaper on the make-up front, I’ve purchased a fair few bits that I have loved so why not start with some of them? God, I’m going to miss the prices of high-end beauty supplies.
One of my favourite items I’ve bought is a MAC Matte Lipstick in Whirl. I didn’t realise until after purchasing and using it for a few weeks that this is supposedly the ‘Kylie Jenner lip colour’ that everyone has raved about. I’ve been so out of touch with the blogging world this last year and it’s time to get back in business. After only paying $15 for it with my Disney Cast Member discount at Disney Springs, I was gutted to see that they’re £15.50 in the UK. I’m still more than willing to pay the price though because, you know, it’s MAC and I love it.
As with all MAC lipsticks that I’ve tried, the formula is beautifully creamy and lasts a fair few hours. I want the matching liner just to make my lips a little fuller, make the matte effect last longer and keep my lips looking more defined. I generally prefer matte lipsticks over lustre finish ones and this has fast become a staple in my collection. Complementing my freckles and skin tone, it goes with most outfits and can be worn dressed up or dressed down.
The colour is perfect for everyday wear, even when it comes to conforming to Disney look (which isn’t as strict as everyone thinks it is, not in the UK Pavilion anyway). Whirl is dark and dusty enough to add some colour. It’s the perfect brown-rose that’s a great transition colour before I hopefully try a darker brown such as Antique Velvet.
What do you think? Is MAC Matte Lipstick in Whirl your favourite dusty rose colour?
