My Favourite Lip Products

I always enjoy reading other blogger’s collective favourite posts so I thought I’d show you all what my favourite lip products are. There are a couple of things that I swear by and the others are just my favourites at the moment.

One of the staples in my lip collection is the Lush Sugar Lip Scrub in Sweet Lips. I absolutely love it, it smells and tastes really sweet like cocoa butter. I try to use it before brushing my teeth morning and night so any flakes are exfoliated away. It leaves them lovely and smooth and because it’s made of sugar and oils, it tastes nice if you happen to get it in your mouth.

I occasionally get extremely sore lips so I’m currently using the Nivea SOS Lip Relief as it is really soothing. It’s a creamy, clear formula which helps nourish chapped areas. I find the best way to use it is by putting on a fairly thick layer at night and then just using a normal balm during the day as it can be a little shiny if you’re not a fan of the glossy lip look.

If my lips are in good condition but they just need a bit of moisture, I always turn to Burt’s Bees Lip Balms. I currently have the one with the mango butter and it feels lovely and silky on your lips whilst smelling gorgeous at the same time. You can get quite a few different flavours and a pink grapefruit one has just come out so I think I might try this scent next time.

My all time favourite lipstick that I always go to, has to be my Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Boy (no 54). I picked it up at the airport in March and have tried other brands since but none have ever really compared. I didn’t tend to wear lipstick until recently so I’m still trying out different things. As you can see, it’s quite a subtle, soft pink with an ever so tiny amount of shimmer. It’s fairly natural and definitely a day time lip colour.

When it comes to glosses, I don’t really wear them very often. I find them a little irritating to wear, especially when speaking a lot. If I go out and want to wear some shine I’ll occasionally pop some in my bag. One that I do like, I actually got in a Glossybox a few months back, and that is the Lancome Juicy Tubes. If I remember rightly it’s called Toffee, and it smells exactly like it’s name. It’s quite a sticky gloss but it does stay put for quite some time so I don’t mind it too much. I’d like to try some other colours but I just don’t think I’d wear them enough.

So they are my favourite lip products, I hope you enjoyed reading. If you’ve written any similar favourites posts, feel free to link in the comments below so I can have a read of yours!
