This months Glossybox was a lovely International Superstars themed beauty box. The products were all miniatures this month and taken from 4 different countries. The samples that I got were: Allessandro Pro White nail varnish from Germany, DHC Deep Cleansing Oil from Japan, Vera Valenti eyeshadow palette from Spain, Lipcote lipstick sealer from the UK and then a Glossybox lipstick and Eve’s Balm. As usual, I have given a mini review for each as I’ve only used the products once or twice so the following are just my first impressions.
Vera Valenti L’ombre à Paupière Margarita This is quite a cute little palette. The greens aren’t my usual colours but I’m looking forward to trying them out. They do seem slightly more chalky than what I’m used to but they have just the right amount of pigmentation.
Alessandro Pro White Polish I really hope this works, I always feel my nails look slightly dull when left naturally. I’ve put it on one of my nails just to try it out but, so far, I haven’t really noticed a difference so I’m going to try it with a few more coats and hopefully it improves.
Lipcote I have wanted to try this for so long! I remember when it became fairly big a few years back now but I never used to wear lipstick. First impressions: it stings incredibly on chapped lips but it does keep lipstick in place very well. It seems to work by making a very fine film over your lips.
DHC Deep Cleansing Oil Now, I love trying out new types of make-up removers but this is a little bit too messy for my liking. You put the oil on your hands and then rub it into your face. I’ve tried it with a cotton wool pad too and I’m just not overly impressed. I think there are a few things that work a lot more effectively out there.
All For Eve, Eve Balm This is actually a product from a charity that focuses on beauty products in order to raise funds for gynaecological cancer. The balm is lovely and relieves dry patches. It has a lavender scent which I’m not overly keen on, but it’s lovely just to rehydrate skin at night whilst sending you into a relaxed slumber.
Glossybox Lipstick in Glossy Pink I had a bit of a disaster opening this, I twisted it as I was trying to take the lid off and the tip crushed slightly. Nonetheless, I am in love with this shade of pink. It’s lovely and summery and the texture is nice and creamy once on.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post and if you want to get your own Glossybox they are £10 each (+£2.95 p+p). Head over to the GlossyBox site for more info!
