I presume you are all wondering what I’m posting about with a title like this! A Bit of Rough is a Japanese exfoliating wash cloth that I came across thanks to my mum. It was originally designed to smooth waxed skin and to minimise the risk of getting ingrown hairs. It can be used for general bumps and dry areas as well and also makes a great scrub before getting a fake tan and I have really loved using it.
It’s made from fibres that are designed to be used on your face and your body to smooth the skin. You can scrunch it up and add in your favourite bath or shower gel so if you have sensitive skin, you can still use products that your skin likes. The thing that I like the most is the length of the material; it’s approximately 100cm x 30cm, which you can use in a ball or stretched out which means you can reach that awkward place in the middle of your back.
I’ve recently had a few bumps on the top of my back and always tend to get them at the top of my arms. I’ve only used it a few times and it seems to be clearing them up more quickly than any other exfoliator that I’ve used. In terms of its original purpose, A Bit of Rough has also been great at keeping ingrown hairs at bay, wherever that may be (ladies, I think you know what I’m talking about!) and teamed with a good moisturiser, I don’t think my skin has ever felt so good. It gets rid of any dry skin and is working really well at eliminating any spots and marks that you have.
If anyone is interested in getting one, my mum is selling them for £10 plus p+p so you can get in touch with either her or myself. I’ve only been using mine for just over a week and I love it! They’re also lightweight enough to take on holiday or travelling, I know that a good exfoliator was one thing I had to buy whilst I was out and about this summer.
