Review: The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Make-up Remover

Another gift from the bits and bobs that Leah got me! I love my liquid, wipe off the day make-up removers so was delighted to see this little number. Again, it’s something I’ve never used so couldn’t wait to try the Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Make-up Remover. It wipes away make-up easily and leaves your skin feeling soft and refreshed.

The remover comes in a plastic bottle with a cap that you can squirt the product out of and onto a cotton pad. It doesn’t have too much of a scent apart from the subtle hint of camomile which makes it perfect for removing make-up at night to help you feel nice and relaxed in the evening. As you can see from the photo, the bottle contains two parts which mix together when you shake it. One seems to be an oily solution and the other has more of a water consistency.

When it comes to removing make-up, this does it instantly. I don’t wear waterproof mascara so I’m not sure how effectively it holds up to the claim that it removes all traces of waterproof make-up. Depending on how my skin is feeling, I’ll sometimes use my Garnier Micellar Solution as the Camomile remover can be a bit too oily if I have had a break out recently.

I’ll often finish my routine off with The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum to lock in moisture and give myself even more intensive treatment for dryness. However, the cleanser does beautifully on it’s own though as it has an oily texture.

For £8, the Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Make-up Remover is a pretty good price. It does what it says and removes even the smallest bits of make-up and is really gentle. Have any of you had any experience of using this or anything similar? Do you find that the solution can be a little heavy if you have a breakout?
