As most bloggers know, the wonderful Zoe started her own beauty range a few months ago which went absolutely crazy in stores and over social media. I’ve wanted to try a few bits but haven’t had chance to get my hands on them yet. For Christmas, my sister bought me the Zoella Soak Opera Bath and Shower Cream which has become one of my favourites. I generally tend to use bath bombs so its a really nice alternative when I fancy something different. Living the glamorous lifestyle I do (erm…), after coming home at 1am on New Years Eve/Day I decided to have a bath in the middle of the night (fabulous right?!) and tested it out.
I really like the packaging, it’s cute and pink and has rose gold writing which is very in keeping with Zoe’s style. It comes in a plastic bottle with a flip-cap lid so automatically gets bonus points from me as I really don’t like screw ones for bath products. It’s quite a large bottle at 490ml but the pretty rose gold pattern and pink fonts make it look lovely on the bathroom size and always there when I want a good soak.
The product itself is baby pink, has a shimmer running through it and is a creamy consistency rather than gel like most bath and shower combination products that I have tried. It has a very subtle floral scent that’s not too overpowering so if you want a chilled out bath, it’s perfect!
When I first put some of the product in under the tap, I thought I was going to be disappointed because it didn’t seem to lather much so I put more in. I went to grab a drink, came back and the bath was almost overflowing with bubbles! They didn’t die down either so Zoelle Soak Opera makes a great bubble bath. It leaves your skin feeling fairly silky although I still needed to use moisturiser but I have really dry skin anyway, let alone even more so at this time of year.
For £5, I don’t think you can really go wrong. The Zoella Soak Opera Bath and Shower Cream smells lush and produces an abundance of bubbles to have a good ol’ soak in the bath. I’m going to try and get my hands on a few more bits, anything you can recommend in particular?
