Another product that I’ve treated myself to recently is the MAC Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle. It’s something I’ve had my eye on for a while, especially after it being reviewed by so many other bloggers. When I went into MAC I also tried on the highlighter in Lightscapade. Both are such beautiful shades but I had to go with the shade Soft and Gentle. I may have to pop back in at a later date for the other though!
I love MAC products’ packaging as most people do but this felt a little more luxurious. The lid is either magnetic or spring loaded as it has that lovely, satisfying click when you close the lid. I’m not sure if this is the norm or something new as I’ve only bought blusher powders previously.
The colour itself is amazing! It’s a beautiful pinky, rose gold that looks stunning just above the cheekbones and slightly into the temples. It’s a great highlighter and brings a glow to my skin in the best way. I’ve been using it alongside the MAC Blush in Harmony which I use to contour. They work perfectly together and compliment the colour of each other and my skin. It works best when you build it up otherwise it can be a little powdery and take a bit of work to blend.
I use it most days as it’s subtle enough to use as an everyday highlighter. It’s easily buildable for a much more glowing, night time look. I’m keen to get some new brushes and use it in the centre of my forehead, nose and cupids bow. I think I need a little practice and play before I go flaunting it public though!
I’ve absolutely loved using MAC Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle, it has definitely been added to my everyday make-up products. It stays put all day and is a very fine shimmer. For £23, I don’t mind having a little splurge. I’ve wanted to try it out for ages and by the look of it, it will last me for some time.
