Review: L’Oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick

Review: L’Oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick

So pay day has come around and I’ve had my eye on two of the L’Oreal Rouge Caresse lipsticks recently so I popped into Boots on Friday and fell well into the trap with the 3 for 2 offer! It’s been my birthday too though so I wanted a little splurge on a few different beauty items. Two of those were the colours Tempting Lilac (101) and Dating Coral (301) and I have really enjoyed using them! The add a little shimmer and sheen to your lips whilst adding a subtle bit of colour.

The lipsticks come in clear plastic packaging with metal detailing for the L’Oreal logo and enclosure for the lipstick. They have a slick, glossy texture with just enough colour to give a lightweight tint to your lips. I’ve always wanted to try a coral coloured lipstick which is why I chose 301 and I also wanted to pick up a girly pink colour so chose 101.

Tempting Lilac

My favourite out of the two is the Tempting Lilac. It has a cool undertone and goes well with my complexion as it’s not too bright or dark. This is a slightly more natural look and I feel it’s more subtle because it has a pinky shade and similar to something I would usually wear. It has a slight sheen to it and keeps my lips nice and moisturised whilst adding a touch of colour.

Dating Coral

I do really like the idea of the Dating Coral but I’m just a little unsure of it. I think it looks better when I’m wearing slightly more bronzer so maybe when the sun comes out a little I will like it a bit more. I love the colour on it’s own though so I’m going to try introducing it more when I have natural eye make up and a tan. Maybe I just need to try something new and get used to it!
