I’ve seen so many reviews about the Topshop Lipstick Beguiled over the past year and I always wanted to try it. I saw it by the register in the Chester Store when I went to return some dresses. It was a sign, right?
Instantly, I fell absolutely in love with the Beguiled colour and the formula on the first try. I can see it becoming one of my staple lippies at this rate, especially with autumn getting closer.
Topshop packaging for make-up, especially their lipsticks, is so pretty. They are an off-white matte plastic with some black scribbling and their logo. It’s cute, simple and a really nice rebrand. I’ve never actually used any make-up from Topshop apart from their nail polishes but I’m so impressed with this lipstick. I need more in my life!
Beguiled is a wine coloured dark red-purple and is a fairly satin on your lips. It’s got a slight sheen which I love. I tend to go for either much ‘wetter’ lipsticks or completely matte ones. It’s moisturising and it’s staying power is amazing. I find with darker shades that they often need reapplying every couple of hours to keep the intense colour. This one stays put for about 6 hours easily. I tend to use one of my clear lip liners with this to keep it on for longer. It also looks great when applied with a lip brush but very lightly just for a little bit of colour.
The colour is incredible and I’ve worn it a lot since buying it. I got a few wine coloured lipsticks last year but this has quite quickly become a new favourite. Looking at others from the Topshop range, I also want to try out Hazard (a bright red) and In Depth (more of a dark purple tone). At £8 each, I don’t think they’re badly priced considering the quality of them. However, it could get pricey if I develop more of an addiction!
