The other day, I went on a little bit of a spree on the nail varnish front. I convinced myself I needed some new nail polish to add to my already very large collection for the Color Run. I went into Superdrug for a change and discovered a 3 for 2 offer on all nail products. I found a couple of colours and fell in love with them all! I’m sure I’ll get through showing you the rest over the next few weeks too! One of my favourites was the Essie Naughty Nautical polish that came with Bikini So Teeny that I’ve wanted for a while now.

The colour itself is a fairly marine coloured green with flecks of a very light, silver shimmer running through it. The colour in the bottle is pretty much the exact colour that gets applied onto the nails. There’s nothing I hate more than a nail polish that doesn’t look the same colour on!

The brush it has is brilliant for an easy application, I think Essie have changed them since I bought any. They have a thicker brush now with more of a rounded end which makes it really quick to have a neat edge round your cuticle. I used my Nails Inc Caviar Base Coat, two layers of the Essie Naughty Nautical and then topped them off with a coat of Seche Vite, my favourite topcoat as it’s so quick to dry polish off. I absolutely love the colour on my nails and it’s quite bold so can accessorise a dull outfit. The polish doesn’t chip until about the fourth day which is generally how often I change mine so that doesn’t bother me too much!

With regards to my nails challenge, my nails are looking amazing at the moment! They look a lot brighter and seemed to have stopped chipping. I think I’ll do a proper update next week with them bare just so you can see. My cuticles are a hell of a lot more moisturised too so they are looking so much better!
