So we’ve almost hit the half way mark with our time here so we’ve been making more of an effort to do things on our days off and before work. On Monday I found out that I finished university with a 2:1 degree in Social History which made me absolutely over the moon! All of the hard work, time and effort that I’ve put in over three years has actually paid off and I’m actually super excited about starting the next chapter of my life. My mum sent me my Mickey graduation ears in the post as I forgot to bring them so I had to get a cheesy photo with them on. The next time I’m in a park I might wear them if it’s not too hot and also wear an ‘I’m celebrating’ button.
I had a lovely day off with Jess and Leah on Tuesday which we spent mainly at Hollywood Studios. One of the main things on my checklist was to build up the courage to go on the Tower of Terror again. I did it the first time I came to Disney about five years ago and it scared the living daylight out of me and I have never done it since. I did it that day and was once again petrified. The photo we had taken shows Leah loving life and me and Jess screaming for our lives! It was fun though (kind of) so I’ll probably end up on it again before I leave! We went to watch Despicable Me 2 in the evening which was hilarious. It was a dine in cinema so you order food before the movie starts and then have refillable drinks throughout. England needs to get one of these!
As we were at Hollywood Studios, I popped into work because I really wanted to have a photo with my trainer. His name was Phil and he is absolutely adorable! He’s always so cheery too!
On Wednesday I went to Magic Kingdom with my friend Ryan from work because I hadn’t been there for a few weeks. It was a really hot day and I got a little bit burnt but it went down the next day so wasn’t too bad! We managed to get on a lot of the main rides except Splash Mountain. I didn’t take too many photos because I wanted to enjoy the day rather than take photos all the time.
In the evening I went to Bahama Breeze for my friend Keeley’s birthday. It had a Bahaman atmosphere and the food was delicious. I had jerk chicken with a mango and pineapple salsa, cinnamon sweet potato mash and green beans. I’m hoping I’ll be able to head back for cocktails soon as it was such a good evening.
I was working for the rest of the week but I got a lovely package from home; a massive bar of Cadbury’s from my mum. I took it into work so people could try some and it was very well received!
