The Color Run

At the weekend, I had the chance to be a part of the Color Run which was amazing! And no, I haven’t deliberately spelled colour wrongly, it’s an American brand that teams up with Dulex to create what was definitely the funnest run I have ever taken part in to raise money for Save the Children. This will be a fairly picture heavy post just to show what I got up to in all honesty.

The 5km fun run was a Manchester City Stadium and the course went round the grounds. I don’t think it was actually 5km as it really didn’t feel that long. At each 1km check point, there would be a different coloured powder thrown over you. I got invited as a blogger on behalf on LV= as part of their Love Life blog to help promote a healthy living. It fitted in nicely with my blog and sounded like a lot of fun so signed up straight away!

I met up with the lovely Leanne from Second Time Mummy and Sonya from Once Upon a Glam before the race started so that we wouldn’t all be doing it on our own. It was great to meet them both and hope they had as much fun as I most certainly did!

After the run was over, which was more of a walk most of the time because of the crowds, there was a stage at the end and a DJ. We were given powder packs to throw, there were food carts, photo opportunities and merchandise stalls. I bought myself a grey vest top to wear in the gym too.
