Sometimes, when you’re having one of those days, it’s hard to get out of a slump. Try out some of these ways to improve your day for some instant gratification. I swear by some and sometimes all it takes is ten minutes of doing one to make me feel ten times better.
1. Get Outside
Being outside in the fresh air, especially when the weather is this gorgeous, gets me in such a good mood. It’s a well-known fact that vitamin D can help improve your happiness so go and get that free lift in your spirits. Whether it’s just sitting in the garden with a coffee or a walk with a podcast around the block.

2. Workout
Sometimes working out is the last thing I want to do when I’m not in the mood. There have been so many times where I’ve forced myself to run or do some weights and felt so much better for it. There’s nothing a good sweat can’t solve even with the gyms being closed still!
3. Practice Gratitude
Practising gratitude is something that I’ve been doing throughout most of the lockdown. Each time I notice something that makes me smile, I’ll express my gratitude for it. Whether it’s saying thank you out loud or writing a note, it makes me feel happier. When I’m feeling a bit down, I’ll try and look at them to realise that there are more positive things.
4. Manifestation
There’s a lot of things that we have no control over, but there’s a lot that we can put out into the universe. Now don’t get me wrong, manifestation doesn’t just work by wishing for something. You need to put actions into it too. I like to be organised and I love to have goals to achieve so manifestation helps to quieten all the thoughts and ideas I have running around in my head. I’ve recently been following the masterclasses on Vibe and Flow which I have been loving for focus!
5. Take Some Me Time
Probably one of the most obvious ways to improve your day but take some me time. It means different things to different people and completely depends on what makes you happy. For me, a coffee on our patio in my pjs and dressing gown, catching up online is pure bliss. Any time of day. It’s a shame my garden needs a bit of a revamp!

Different things work for different people when you’re in a slump, these are just some of the ways to improve your day. Sometimes you just need to remember the things that make you happy when you’re feeling down and in a slump.
