So to start off my holiday from work, I visited my boyfriend’s parents’ house in the Lake District with him before heading home for a week. I took my camera with me to have a little bit of a play as all it seems to get used for recently is to photograph products that I’m reviewing! It was nice to get into the countryside for a few days after being in Manchester for so long.
The first day I was there we went for a walk up Ambleside White Moss Woods and Meadow, Lake District which was lovely and there was a little cave that lots of people were looking in. We then went up the hillside to the top but I wasn’t expecting such a climb! My bum certainly hurt a lot the next day; I need to get my fitness levels back up! We got some fish and chips afterwards and sat in a park to eat them as it was such a lovely, warm day. We then went to Lake Windermere as I don’t think I’d ever been before and it was still light as it was only around 4pm. We stumbled upon an ice cream shop and got a cone each to sit near the lake with.
The next day, before I headed home, we went into Kendal to have a wander and had a look round the castle ruins. There were quite a few families there with children reenacting sword fights and climbing on the stone walls and steps which was quite cute. We headed into the town centre and had a little mooch around until going back to Stuart’s for lunch before I had to get my train to my mum’s.
