7 Things for 7 Days

So after a busy couple of weeks with moving house and working, I have finally got a round to thinking of some more mini goals to set myself for the next week. It’s getting close to going back to uni so there are few things I want to do more consistently now before that is thrown into my time equation so here I go!

1. Start looking into my dissertation research books.
With this year being my final year at university, I have a pretty hefty, 12,000 word essay to write. I have chosen to look at the links between women’s fashion and the social and cultural changes but am still yet to define a time period. Possibly not all that interesting for you guys, but anyway. I have bought a few books already so I want to read the first chapter of each at least before going back in September.

2. Get up and go.
I have a really bad habit of sitting on the sofa and watching tv/reading blogs/other lazy things first thing in the morning. I want to start getting up and doing whatever I have planned. Whether that be going for a run/gym, doing my internet related things in a coffee shop, etc.

3. Blog sale/Giveaway.
I’ve got so many bits that I haven’t ever used or maybe have just to try out so I’m going to start arranging a blog sale. I also use hellocotton.com to track my followers as I don’t run mine through Blogger so when I hit my first big target I’m going to do a little giveaway. If you guys want it to happen quicker, follow me here.

4. Vlogging.
So if you guys haven’t already seen, I have started Vlogging (video blogging for those unsure). I only have one video up so far but I’m aiming for a couple a month to start with. I need to start planning and hopefully filming my next one this week. If you guys have any suggestions, let me know in the comments below. My YouTube channel is here if you’d like to subscribe and keep up-to-date.

5. More time for me.
I usually stick to showers but I had a bath for the first time in ages the other day and it was absolutely amazing! I’ve had a bit of a sore back recently and it pretty much made it back to normal. I’m going to try and do this a couple of times a week just to wind down and relax a bit more.

6. Getting fit.
My eating routine is getting pretty good, I’m not snacking on unhealthy things quite as much and I’m grabbing fruit or yoghurts instead. With all the running around I’ve been doing recently, I’ve neglected the gym and running as of late. I have a reset session tomorrow to change my plan a bit and I’m thinking of doing a side project on what I’m eating and doing to stay in shape but I want to get back into the swing of things first.

7. Organise myself for the new term.
As I said, I start my final year in September so I need to double check if there’s anything I need to do in preparation. I’m going to look into freshers week and make sure I have it booked off work, look at which clubs I’m going to join and just generally make sure I know exactly what I’m doing.

As I do normally, I’ll let you know how I’m doing in about a weeks time. If you want to see Louise’s original post, click on her picture below!
