This weekend, I went to Bruges with some of my family for the Christmas Markets. We left from Hull on the Saturday evening, arrived in Belgium on the Sunday morning and spent the day wandering around taking in the sights. It was a great price for £37.50 each for a P&O Mini Cruise. It was a lovely day, however I was slightly disappointed by the markets. They weren’t very big and didn’t have as much to offer as the Manchester Markets do; they were a lot smaller and the stalls weren’t quite as varied. Bruges itself was extremely beautiful though and the cafes, restaurant and shops were all very pretty. I had a wonderful coffee cake/pastry for my breakfast with what has to have been the greatest tasting gingerbread latte I have ever had. For dinner I also got to have some yummy muscles in a white wine sauce. I thought I’d show you a few pictures from the day, there are some stunning buildings that I couldn’t resist taking photos of. It was a little chilly and the sun was hiding for most of the day but was still a lovely day.
