If you’re local to Manchester, one of my favourite places to go for a sweet yet healthy treat has to be Frurt. They have been open for just over a year and are quickly becoming a popular destination for catching up with friends and grabbing a coffee and some yummy, icy goodness. They sell the absolute best frozen yoghurt which is made freshly on site each day with a variety of toppings. Non-dairy soya options are available and if there is a flavour you fancy trying, let them know and they’ll try it out. Pretty much every type of fruit that you can think of is available along with various nutty and naughty toppings!
As it was their birthday on 29th July, they held a weekend of fun in association with the local charity Once Upon a Smile which supports families who have lost a child or parent to a long term or terminal illnesses. The co-founder Danny Miller and a few other celebrity patrons were there who also take a part in the OUAS football team.
There were goody bags, candy floss frozen yoghurt, eyebrow threading, mini cupcakes and more. I only managed to get down for an hour or so each day but had great fun. All the proceeds from the limited Frurt flavours went to charity and they made an amazing £157 over the Friday and Saturday. I’ve put together some of the photos I took from the weekend for you guys to all see along with some that Stu took of me and the patrons.
If you want to try Frurt out, they have two locations in Manchester; Spinningfields and The Student Village on Whitworth Street West. Definitely recommend you try them out, for around £3 a tub, you can’t really go wrong!
