The New Year is for starting over, right? As much as I’m not one for the stereotypical “New Year, New Me”, it is such a fresh feeling at the start of the year. It’s been a while since I’ve been on here, the end of 2019 just seemed to run away and roll into January 2020. This year’s only goal is to be happy and healthy! I’ve got so much to look forward to this year so rather than setting myself ridiculous challenges, here are all the exciting things I’ve got planned so far.
I started a new role at the start of the year as a Senior Social Advertising Manager. It’s a great step up for me and I’m so excited to get stuck in. Leaving my current job was a really difficult decision for me to make. I have met some incredible people, of whom some have become my closest friends. That being said, I’m looking forward to a new challenge, learning more and working on some exciting new clients.
This is something I’ve been looking forward to getting stuck in with. I know it’s a cliché that everybody gets back into fitness at the start of the year, but why is that a bad thing? I’ve decided to challenge myself this year to complete the Gymshark66 challenge. Their catchphrase is “They say it takes 66 days to form a habit. We believe it takes 66 days to change your life.” Between now and the 6th March, I’m challenging myself to:
- Fall back in love with fitness.
- To take better care of myself.
- To find consistency.
It’s a social competition so you can keep up to date with what I’m doing on Instagram.
In March, Curt and I are going on our first holiday together! We’re planning on going to Disney World in 2021 for our 30ths and the 50th Anniversary of Magic Kingdom but wanted a little Disney fix this year too. I loved the Paris parks when I went a few years ago and can’t wait to be back. I don’t think Curt realises what he’s got himself into yet!
We are moving in January! This has partially why I’ve been AWOL for the last month at least. We are having to do a bit of renovating and decorate which has taken a lot of our time. I can’t wait to put my stamp on something and it’s all coming together nicely now.
This year is a little light on the gig front at the moment but I’m sure we’ll start booking more once we’re settled. We are hopefully heading to Steel Panther in Manchester and then we have already booked to see Brothers Osborne again in May. Download will hopefully be an option too but we’ll have to wait a bit longer to see if it’s doable.
So there we have it. A little life update and a Happy New Year! Hopefully, once I’m settled with a new routine, you should hear from me more often. Keep up to date with all things house and fitness-related over on my Instagram.
