Something I’ll always say yes to is a brunch. Make it bottomless and it’s a double yes! I’ve been to bottomless brunch at Manahatta, Manchester twice now and it’s one of my favourites. Back at the start of July, I had a Disney reunion with the girls I worked with at the Historical Research Center. Knowing the city pretty well, I was in charge of finding somewhere for us to meet up for lunch. Adding a little bit (a lot!) of booze into the mix for a summer catch-up was never going to be a bad thing!
First of all, Manahatta, Deansgate has incredible decor! It’s highly influenced by New York and has gorgeous furniture, neon lighting and a bit of glamour. I actually came just before Christmas with my Chester girls. The lighting makes it hard to take a really good picture that does the inside justice so I highly recommend going for yourself.
The bottomless brunch at Manahatta is great value for money all round. For £26.95, you get breakfast and unlimited Bloody Marys, Prosecco, pints of Coors or Aperol Spritz. You can also upgrade your food to some lunchtime orientated meals if you’re not into brunch. Take a look at their menu here. If you like your Bloody Marys to have a decent kick, I would 100% recommend them from here. Nice and spicy but not overpowering. If you’re not into that, their prosecco is nice but I’m not a fan of Aperol to tell you if theirs are good or not.
There are so many options for food and both times I have eaten there, it’s been amazing. This time I went for something sweet; the Buttermilk ‘High Line’. Essentially is waffles with fried chicken and maple syrup which I don’t think I’ve had since living in the States. Last November, I had the Full English which was a pretty decent portion for the price, to be honest. You can always get a few extra trimmings if you pay an extra £2.50 though.
As I said, it’s not the easiest place to try and take a well-lit picture in because of the neon signs but make sure you try! There are a couple of areas that you can take pictures in front of lights like the Statue of Liberty. So next time you’re looking for something new, try out bottomless brunch at Manahatta, Manchester. Let me know what you think of it!
