After a long weekend, I’m on the train back to Manchester feeling very happy with a lot of the bargains I’ve got over the weekend at Professional Beauty London 2014. I love these trade events as you get to see what treatments and brands are up and coming within spas and within retail. My favourites that always attend have to be NYX, Dermalogica, Louella Belle (Essie and Seche) and Jane Iredale. For me it’s usually just a chance to pick up a bargain or two and find new brands, but this time there was more; I went to promote the Manchester Blogger Event and have managed to snap up some great items for your goody bags and raffle prizes. Once the products arrive, I shall be posting sneak peaks on Instagram for you so that you can see what you’ll be getting your hands on.
As I do at any event like this, I take my camera and get a little snap happy so thought I’d show you a few of the pictures that I took. If you ever get chance to go to one of these, I say do it! They are so much fun, however busy, and it’s a great way to promote you and your blog. I usually go to Professional Beauty in Manchester too which is in October/November time which has a lot of the same brands but on a smaller scale and it doesn’t feel quite as manic. Olympia Beauty is also another great trade show however the venue inside isn’t quite as nice, even though it’s set in a beautiful building.
There are always seminars going on that you can sign up to online beforehand that are either free or have a small fee. I didn’t get chance to go to any this year but previously have been to a talk with Rebecca from Be Beautiful and a contouring masterclass. They aren’t always relevant to me as most are for business or salons but there are usually a handful that interest me, especially if they involve make up techniques or for discovering upcoming trends.
I’ll be filming a haul video this week so that you can have a peak at all the bits that I’ve managed to get my hands on and once I’ve had a play with them, I’ll write a couple of reviews. If there are any brands out there that are still wanting to get involved in the Manchester Blogger Meet and I didn’t get the opportunity to come and chat or you weren’t at Professional Beauty London 2014, please drop me a message!
